Posted in Youth Culture Research on April 27th, 2009
Hi all. This post is going to be brief, but I have a good list to pass along. Recently, YPulse put together a list of executives and brand managers that spend a lot of time in the youth marketing space. Unfortunately, most of the bios are brief, so you may have to do a little Google-ing to get the kind of detail you need. But here’s a little taste of the names you ought to know:
MySpace Co-founder Chris DeWolfe steps down as CEO, but will remain on board as a strategic adviser, while president Tom Anderson will take on a new role at the organization. Project Playlist CEO Owen Van Natta will take over. (MediaBistro’s Revolving Door, reg. required)
Project Playlist has announced that John Sykes will be stepping in as CEO. Sykes is a co-founder of MTV, former president of VH1, and former president of Infinity Broadcasting. (TechCrunch)
Marvel Studios… is looking to take more control over how it promotes its pics, tapping Douglas Finberg exec VP of international marketing. (Variety)
MTV Networks International ups Nina Hahn to SVP/International Production and Development, Nickelodeon. (Cynopsis Kids
Bill Gossman, formerly the CEO of the online advertising service Audience Science is taking over as CEO of hi5. (TechCrunch)
